The results obtained with the exclusive tecnique of simultaneous pressing and multidirectional forging allow a further weight reduction of the wheels, yet guaranteeing resistance and reliability superior to the forged wheels.

In the last 2 years, Marchesini forged magnesium wheels with the “Y” design have substituted the cast magnesium wheels used in the GP and Superbike world championships. Marchesini forged magnesium wheels guarantee a 30% to 45% weight reduction compared to the original ones, which correspond to a 25% inertia reduction. Forged wheels are perfectly balanced.

A set of forged magnesium wheels weighs 1.2 kg less in comparison with a set of cast wheels. The reliability is guaranteed by the exceptional mechanical characteristics of the special alloy of magnesium used.
